Long Beach Poly High School is proud to honor one of its most distinguished alumni, Coach Don Norford, with a two-day celebration culminating in the naming of the track where his journey began. We proudly invite you to a historic two-day celebration honoring the extraordinary legacy of Coach Don and Carol Norford. These remarkable individuals have dedicated their lives to mentoring student-athletes and inspiring excellence both on and off the field. ​The celebration continues with an elegant gala evening dedicated to reflection, gratitude, and giving back. an evening of elegance and heartfelt reflection at the highly anticipated gala celebrating the legacy of Coach Don and Carol Norford. Set against a backdrop of live music and uplifting energy, the evening will feature inspiring speeches from athletes, coaches, and community leaders whose lives have been transformed by the Norfords’ guidance and care. The highlight of the night will be the presentation of the inaugural Don & Carol Norford Community Service Award, a prestigious honor recognizing individuals who embody their values of mentorship, selflessness, and community impact. Guests will also enjoy exquisite cuisine, opportunities to connect with generations of Jackrabbits and supporters, and a special client auction featuring exclusive items and experiences. All proceeds will benefit the newly established Don and Carol Norford Trust, ensuring their legacy continues to inspire and empower future generations.
